When you import your own PDF, the AI analyzes it to identify sections, row counts, and sizing. Each analysis uses one extraction credit. You get 3 free credits with the app. Additional credits are $4.99 for a pack of 4. Credits never expire.
No. Every pattern in our curated library is pre-analyzed and ready to track immediately — no credit required.
Simple mode (the default) shows your pattern's original text organized by section with a row counter. Advanced mode shows AI-extracted row-by-row instructions with stitch counts and a live garment schematic. Both use the same extraction. You can switch anytime.
Yes. Each size extraction is saved separately. You can name them, switch between them with a tap, and your progress on each size is tracked independently.
No. Every word comes from the original pattern designer. The AI reads and organizes your PDF — it identifies sections, counts rows, and detects sizing. It does not generate, modify, or replace pattern instructions.
Yes. Your projects are stored locally on your device. Pattern text sent for AI analysis is processed by Anthropic's commercial API, which automatically deletes all data within 7 days. API data is never used for model training. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Tap the microphone icon in the tracker, then say: "Advance" (next row), "Go back" (previous row), "Next section", or "Previous section". Say "Stop listening" to deactivate.
Try re-extracting with a specific size selected, or adjust the gauge setting. Complex patterns with charts, parallel shaping, or unusual notation may score lower. Simple mode works well regardless of score. You can always refer to your original PDF alongside the tracker.
Credits are consumed when an extraction begins. For App Store purchase issues, contact Apple Support through your purchase history in Settings → Apple ID → Media & Purchases.
InterTwined checks external services (AI extraction and pattern library) on launch. If either is temporarily unavailable, a banner will appear. Your existing projects and tracking always work offline — only new extractions and library browsing require a connection.
